I am grateful for President Trump’s trust in me to lead the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. It’s an honor to serve.
As @DHSgov Secretary, I’m committed to safeguarding the American people and protecting the homeland. I’ll fight for your family just as I’ll fight for mine.
I look forward to standing shoulder to shoulder with the 260,000 outstanding DHS employees and their families to keep our nation safe.
My first priority is to end the partisan fighting and reopen the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as a matter of national security.
Let’s get to work.
Mullin also went hard in urging his former Republican colleagues in the Senate to use reconciliation to pass the SAVE America Act.

The Transportation and Safety Administration (TSA), which is still going without pay because of the Democrat Senate’s refusal to fund DHS, gave Mullin a very warm welcome.
Congratulations to our new Secretary of Homeland Security!

Trump announcing the Iran negotiations and his swearing in Mullin as soon as he received Senate confirmation indicates he had plans in mind with his nomination of Mullin, and we expect to see that agenda unfold in the coming days.
Editor’s Note: For decades, former presidents have been all talk and no action. Now, Donald Trump is eliminating the threat from Iran once and for all.
