Day two of CPAC 2026 included a panel discussion called “Don’t Sharia My Texas.” The panel included Carl Higbie, host of “Carl Higbie Frontline,” Matthew Foldi, Editor-in-Chief of the Washington Reporter, Bo French, candidate for Texas Railroad Commissioner, and Jenny Story, COO of Patriot Mobile. The discussion centered around the ever-increasing influence of Sharia law and Muslims in America, looking to form their own enclaves and communities that seem to be void of American values.

Carl Higbie mentioned Epic City, a proposed massive Islamic Center near Plano, Texas, that would have included subdivisions, schools, businesses, and a mosque. Basically, everything else it takes to make up an individual community — but entirely under the watchful eye of Islamic guidance.
Higbie pointed out the obvious concerns that enclaves such as this create. They can create rules that women must wear hijabs, and people would not be allowed to own dogs. But on a more practical level, he stated that more and more Muslims are running for school boards and city councils. Higbie added that it is not by coincidence; it is a very coordinated effort. And they know Texas, with its nearly three trillion dollar economy, is the place to do it. Higbie stated bluntly, “They know that if they can conquer Texas, they can conquer America.”

Matthew Foldi brought up the fact that this is not just a problem in America, but it is taking place across the world. One only needs to look at what is taking place in many European countries, as their societies and cultures are being taken over by an influx of Muslim immigrants to those countries. With the possible exceptions of places like Hungary and Poland, European nations are rapidly losing their distinct cultures.
But the biggest and most disturbing issues with growing Islamic influence are the fact that Sharia law is completely antithetical to American values and beliefs. There is no freedom of speech or expression. Higbie also pointed out that, when Muslims are in the minority in a community, they argue vehemently for the rights of minorities, but when they are in the majority, there are no minority rights. We have all heard horror stories of gay people being thrown off of buildings in Muslim countries.
The panel talked about the occurrence of “creeping sharia.” Besides running for city councils and school boards, now the largest city in the United States has a Muslim mayor in New York City, Mayor Zohran Mamdani. But just how prevalent is this becoming in the Lone Star State? Bo French is currently the chairman of the Tarrant County Republican Party. He is running for Texas Railroad Commissioner. He said that he has received calls from Texans who said their daughters were being bullied in school for not wearing hijabs. Jenny Story told the story of Wylie High School in Wylie, Texas, where, back in February, several adults from a group called “Why Islam” set up a table in the school and handed out hijabs to female students and copies of the Quran. Story also added that there are nearly 330 mosques in Texas, and that the idea is to look for churches that are closing and take them over.

Bo French talked about why this is happening. Because of Joe Biden’s open borders, we have no idea who is here from hostile nations. He stated, “Since 1965, we have allowed people from other countries who do not align with American values into the country. There are roughly 100 million people in the country who shouldn’t be here and don’t want to assimilate.”
Everyone on the panel agreed that Americans must have politicians who are willing to be America First and stand up and say that this is not what the American people want, and that those who are unwilling to assimilate must be sent home. But Jenny Story brought up another problem with getting the message about this out. She stated that “Many Americans don’t want to acknowledge it because it is ‘mean,’ and because it seems so outlandish to them.” Higbie stated that Americans need to know that the definition of radicalization for Muslims is “the willingness to inflict harm on non-Muslims.”
Americans, not just in Texas but all over the country, need to know what “the religion of peace” is doing in their communities.
