Piers Morgan has slammed Donald Trump following his latest volley of threatening remarks directed at Iran.
President Donald Trump spent Sunday afternoon at his Virginia golf course after sidestepping traditional Easter events amidst speculation surrounding his wellbeing. Trump was photographed by Reuters arriving at the facility on Sunday morning wearing golf shoes. He stopped to pose for photographs with supporters, while social media posts showed various Easter-themed activities taking place at the venue.
Just hours beforehand, the President unleashed a volley of threatening remarks towards Iran. He posted on Truth Social: “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!!” Trump, 79, began. “Open the F***ing’ Strait, you crazy b*****ds, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH!” he raged. “Praise be to Allah. President DONALD J. TRUMP”
His message has sparked fierce criticism, with many questioning the President’s state of mind. Outspoken broadcaster Piers Morgan responded: “This is embarrassing. Delete it, President – unless you want everyone to think you’ve lost your marbles.” But it isn’t entirely negative from Piers, as two hours later he took to X to address the US mission to rescue their second downed airman in Iran. He said: “The more I read about the US mission to rescue their 2nd downed airman in Iran, the more astounding it is. Kudos to the CIA, SEAL Team 6, and all the others involved in finding their man and getting him out. And to him, for incredible guts and tenacity.”
This follows after social media was set ablaze on Saturday afternoon with unconfirmed reports that Trump had been taken to Walter Reed Hospital – with some users on X even suggesting the president had died.
The speculation grew when the White House placed a lid on Trump’s schedule for the rest of the day at 11 a.m., prompting widespread questions about the Commander-In-Chief’s location. The White House subsequently dismissed any health concerns, stating the President was carrying on with his duties throughout the Easter weekend.
