Never surprised. Always disappointed. You will recall my highlighting this New York Post article on a Minnesota state government employee who (allegedly) vandalized six Teslas, doing over $20,000 in damage. His name is Dylan Adams, age 33, and he is classified as a civil servant, not a political appointee.

Now comes the always soft-on-crime Hennepin County prosecutor, Mary Moriarty, deciding to not press charges. Because laws don’t apply to Democrats or to people who work for Democrats. Not in Minnesota.

Local affiliate Fox 9-TV reports,

Tesla vandal not likely to face criminal charges, Hennepin County Attorney says.

In this instance, “not likely” means “no chance.” Adams was “diverted.” I highlighted the Post article because local media had not previously reported Adams’ name or his employer. Credit to the UK Daily Mail for also fully covering the story when the locals wouldn’t.

Fox 9 quotes Adams’ lawyer,

My client is very remorseful for his actions and is beginning the process of making sure the victims are made whole financially. We are grateful for the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office exercise of prosecutorial discretion, and apologize to the victims and law enforcement.

Now he’s sorry.
