I learned a few minutes ago that David Horowitz died earlier today. He has been in ill health for a while, and the news is not surprising. But David was a towering figure, one of our most effective conservative thinkers and activists. He was a long-time friend of both Scott’s and mine.
We will have an opportunity before long for a more thorough appreciation of David’s life and his contributions to America and to the conservative movement. For now, we can only regret his passing. Our movement needs many more like David Horowitz; unfortunately, there are few if any who measure up to his standard.
