Marks & Spencer has launched an exciting new summer BBQ range, promising to “bring the heat to BBQ season” with three standout products.

The British retailer’s “Grill trio” aims to “spice up the summer season” and take your barbecue to the next level.


The new range features Smashed Burgers, Best Ever Posh Dogs, and Nduja King Prawn Skewers.

These summer specialities are now available in M&S Foodhalls nationwide and can also be purchased online via Ocado.

M&S promises that with these new additions, “summer has never tasted so good”.

The Smashed Burgers are “perfectly seasoned with cracked black pepper and sea salt” and designed to be cooked on a hot griddle to achieve an “irresistible, caramelised crust”.

The Best Ever Posh Dogs offer an elevated take on a classic, made with “British cherrywood smoked pork shoulder and an American-style smoky seasoning blend”.

M&S recommends enjoying them “with lashings of ketchup and mustard for the ultimate comfort bite”.

Completing the trio, the Nduja King Prawn Skewers feature prawns “specially selected for succulence” and covered in “a hot and smoky Italian nduja paste with chilli, garlic and paprika”.

Alongside its BBQ range, M&S has launched a limited-edition Choc-o-Sandwich cake to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day. The special cake will see five per cent of sales donated to the Royal British Legion.

It has been designed specifically for those planning gatherings with loved ones or neighbours to mark the historic occasion.

The commemorative cake is available for a limited time only in M&S Foodhalls nationwide and via Ocado’s online delivery service, with the retailer describing it as a “special teatime treat” perfect for VE Day celebrations.

The cake draws inspiration from a beloved M&S recipe first sold over 60 years ago, bringing “a taste of history to modern celebrations”.

For this special occasion, M&S has revived the product under their classic St Michael brand, which will “evoke fond memories for many long-time customers”.

The limited-edition treat features original style packaging with a vintage aesthetic that complements the VE Day anniversary theme.

The cake consists of layers of fluffy Victoria sponge as its base and is filled with rich strawberry jam, providing a sweet fruity element to complement the other flavours.
