The New York Times and the Washington Post won a Pulitzer Prize for their gaslighting, dishonest coverage of a scandal that wasn’t, the “Russia-Russia” hoax. They have yet to give it back and admit that they shouldn’t be receiving trophies for lying to the American public.
Proving that the news industry has learned nothing, the Emmys decided to nominate CBS News for a prize Thursday for their duplicitous handling of a “60 Minutes” Kamala Harris interview right before the November presidential election. Trump sued the outlet for $10 billion for its dishonesty (later raised to $20 billion), and the two sides are currently in settlement talks. In other words, CBS’ parent corporation Paramount Global is caving because they don’t want Trump’s FCC to derail its proposed multi-billion-dollar merger with Skydance Media.
Veteran “60 Minutes” producer Bill Owens resigned over the brouhaha, long-time host Scott Pelley melted down on the once venerable program’s broadcast last week—trashing his bosses while lamenting that he and his cohorts would no longer be allowed to manipulate the truth according to their whims—but the Emmys apparently thought this fiasco was worthy of a “best editing” award.
This is exactly why the mainstream/corrupt/legacy media is the enemy of the American people.
NOT THE BEE: You simply can’t make this up. The deceptively edited 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris at the heart of Trump’s $20 lawsuit against CBS was just nominated for an Emmy for, wait for it, OUTSTANDING EDITING! pic.twitter.com/3dj3NM8ZA1

It really shouldn’t be a champagne-popping moment, insiders say:
“CBS Evening News” executive producer Guy Campanile took to social media to declare the nomination a “mic drop,” but one insider doesn’t believe the nomination will help things from a legal standpoint.
“The irony is, some folks at ‘60 Minutes’ are popping champagne over an Emmy nomination — for the same interview that landed them in legal hot water. It’s a reminder that these awards are voted on by other journalists, not the public, not their bosses — and certainly not lawyers,” a source familiar with the inner workings of CBS News told Fox News Digital.

The selective editing of the interview underscores just how far the leftist press will go these days to influence voters’ opinions. If they can’t move them with the truth, they’re more than happy to manipulate the facts. It’s only fitting, therefore—but laughable—that the nomination is for “Outstanding Edited Interview.” It is certainly “outstanding,” just in a deeply nefarious way.
Sad that the entertainment industry is so proud to spit in the faces of half the population. Emmy nomination for the fraudulently edited Kamala Harris interview on 60 Minutes. Don’t forget to add her campaign to the In Memoriam segment. https://t.co/av5ZKwSH2j
