I tweeted my post about Paul Walsh’s Star Tribune story reporting the felony charges filed against German Adriano Llangari Inga to Walsh this morning.
Still awaiting guidance from @walshpj on why it is wrong to ask the question.

In our email correspondence I had inquired of Walsh whether he could ascertain whether Llangari Inga was an illegal alien. In our exchange of emails Walsh obnoxiously implied that there was something wrong with my question.
Walsh emailed me this morning: “I didn’t say it was wrong to ask.”
I responded: “You just implied it was racist.”
This is what Walsh had to say about that: “Assigning implications can be tricky. Thanks for reading the Minnesota Star Tribune.”
It certainly isn’t tricky in this case. Walsh doesn’t bother to deny the obvious implication of his gibes. Most striking to me is that he doesn’t even seem to have the courage of his convictions.
