Yesterday, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem testified before the House Appropriations Committee. In their usual dishonest manner, Democrats took the opportunity to attack the administration’s enforcement of the immigration laws, among other things. Here are a few clips featuring the Democrats’ finest.
Amazingly, people actually voted for this woman:
“Congresswoman, we still have claims open from Hurricane Katrina.” @Sec_Noem
The American people need action – not red tape. We are fixing a broken system and returning power to state emergency managers to make America safe again. pic.twitter.com/9RwTOpJz35

The Democrats are pushing the absurd narrative that the administration has been deporting U.S. citizens, specifically children. That is ridiculous; a citizen can’t be deported (deported to where?). However, a non-citizen can take a citizen child with her when she leaves the country:
.@Sec_Noem completely destroys @RepEscobar for pushing the Fake News that the Trump administration deported U.S. citizen children:

This is a longer clip, featuring Democrat Lauren Underwood, who is the Ranking Member on the Appropriations Committee’s Subcommittee on Homeland Security. She drips with arrogance as she reads the script prepared by her staff. She, too, knows nothing about the facts, and takes offense when Noem tries to answer her questions, which Underwood views as an unwarranted interruption:
Here’s the scary thing: I think it is almost certain that the Democrats will take the House in 2026. If they do, these people will be in the majority, and in the House the minority is virtually powerless. So Republicans need to get as much done as they possibly can before the midterms.
