Democrats say that President Trump is an autocrat, a would-be dictator, a guy who–according to Tim Walz–will don a military uniform and try to seize power any day now. In particular, they accuse Trump of seeking revenge against his opponents and even–fascism!–trying to jail them.
Gosh. Where might he get that idea? Democrats seem entirely oblivious to the fact that it was they, not the Republicans, who pursued the most ridiculous charges imaginable, in utterly biased kangaroo courts, to try to jail their leading political opponent. Not the other way around.
And they are still at it. Rasmussen offers a horrifying data point: “71% of Democrats Want Elon Musk in Prison.” The question was: “Would you support a hypothetical law that would imprison Elon Musk for his role in DOGE?” 71% of Democrats said Yes.
In prison for what? Trying to cut down on government waste? What conceivable crime could Elon Musk be guilty of? Respondents weren’t asked that question, but the only inference we can draw is that a large majority of Democrats want to put their political enemies in prison, regardless. Charges? Who needs charges? Just throw them in the slammer.
As, absurdly, they keep telling us that Republicans are the totalitarians.
