Two dead in horror stabbing at popular holiday destination as ‘cars smeared with blood’ | World | News

A tragic stabbing spree has occurred at a beloved British getaway spot, resulting in two deaths and several injuries. The emergency services rushed to the scene on Fanny Blankers Koenlaan in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands, following reports of a stabbing at approximately 6am. A police officer was rushed to the hospital, with blood seen smeared on a police vehicle.

Police said in a statement: “We received a report of a stabbing incident at Fanny Blankers-Koenlaan in Purmerend around 6:00 AM. There are multiple victims, including a colleague. Multiple ambulances and the MMT are on site. PD has been set up. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. More later.”

It is believed that two people were killed in the attack, with several others injured, local media reported. Photos show emergency services at the scene, with ambulances lined up and a police cordon firmly established.

Reports from local outlets indicate one patrol car was found “smeared with blood,” details of which are pending official confirmation. 

Emergency responders quickly mobilised, dispatching multiple ambulances along with two trauma teams, who rushed the wounded officer to the hospital, according to the emergency services.
