Gaza is one of the most benighted places on Earth, likely the most benighted. It has no real educational system; its schools are devoted to propagating bigotry. It has virtually no economy; it is a society that lives on international welfare. It is primitive in all the ways liberals say they hate–viciously misogynistic, murderous toward homosexuals, prone to torture political opponents to death. It is the most backward theocracy on Earth. And on October 7, 2023, it launched the most horrific military/terrorist attack since World War II.
Yet, for some reason, Gaza has become the Left’s favorite cause. To be a liberal these days is to be an enthusiastic supporter of murdering political opponents, throwing gays off buildings, oppressing women, mass-murdering babies and defenseless civilians, and shooting in cold blood those who show up for free food provided by Americans. It is very weird that liberals tell us the Trump administration somehow represents the dark night of totalitarianism, while Hamas and the Gazans who elected Hamas to lead them are not just A-OK but tres chic.
Thousands of instances could be offered, but here are just a few. Greta Thunberg, formerly a teenage left-wing darling who knew nothing about energy and now a 22-year-old left-wing darling who condones mass murder, has set sail for Gaza:
An international flotilla carrying humanitarian aid and activists, including climate campaigner Greta Thunberg and “Game of Thrones” actor Liam Cunningham, set sail Sunday from the southern Italian port of Catania, aiming to reach the Gaza Strip by sea in defiance of Israel’s naval blockade.
The boat, named Madleen, is operated by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC), a nonprofit group that has long sought to challenge Israeli control of maritime access to Gaza. Organizers say the mission is “not charity,” but a form of nonviolent protest against what they described as “Israel’s illegal siege and escalating war crimes.”
The Providence, Rhode Island City Council decided to fly a Palestinian flag over City Hall to show solidarity with Hamas’s murderous sadists. This is a photo of the flag-raising ceremony:
The “Stop Starving Gaza” banner is ironic, since Israel and the U.S. collaborated to bring food to Gaza that was free, as opposed to the food that Hamas formerly parceled out at a cost. (Better yet, Gazans should stop devoting themselves to terrorism and work for a living, so as to be able to buy food like the rest of us.) So Hamas gunmen shot Gazans lined up to receive Israeli/American food. If you want to stop starving Gaza, you should join the Israelis in defeating Hamas.
Oberlin is a liberal arts college in Ohio that used to be pretty good. Its best-known alumna is Michelle Malkin. But now, Oberlin is absurdly left-wing, and is suffering financially after being forced to pay $36.59 million to the owners of a local bakery that the college falsely accused of being racist. If only all such false accusations had similar results!
Thankfully, the college graduation season is now over, but Oberlin’s graduation ceremony was highlighted by a pro-terrorist demonstration. This tweet comes from a left-wing source, but I have no reason to think that it is wrong:

Leftism is stupid, and leftists, generally speaking, are stupid. Still, we are confronted with a puzzle: why in the world are liberals lining up to support the most evil regime on Earth? How and when did liberalism become pro-terrorism, pro-mass murder, anti-women and anti-homosexual? Yes, the liberal’s moral compass has been awry for some time. But here we have an exact negation of reality: the liberals’ moral compass is pointing due South, toward the ultimate evil of Gaza.
Does the Democratic Party really intend to run on a pro-mass murder platform in 2026? Or, put another way, can whatever sane people are left in that party distance themselves from the pro-terrorism, pro-mass murder beliefs of their party’s base? Do they even want to distance themselves?
I don’t have any answers. The human race has always been prone to evil, but organized support for evil at this level is, if not unprecedented, certainly extraordinary.
