CNN Is Having a Normal One – Panelist Suggests Trump Might Have Musk Killed or Imprisoned After Spat – RedState

CNN isn’t exactly a bastion of measured tones and intelligent political analysis, but you’d expect them to at least be a notch above what one of their panelists offered this morning.

Or maybe not.

Contributor Lulu Garcia-Navarro, a reporter for the New York Times, really kicked up the stupid to eleven when she offered her take on yesterday’s very public spat between President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

Many saw the argument for what it is – a disagreement between two strong-willed individuals that simply spiraled out of control and should have been handled behind closed doors. Garcia-Navarro, though, believes there is so much more. And Musk is going to be the one who pays the price for the falling out.

The ultimate price, even.

Scott Jennings Has Probably the Best Response Yet to Trump/Elon Feud

“I have so many thoughts about this,” she said, more of a warning than anything else. “So, you know, I think this is bad for Musk. I am — if you look at the history around the world of authoritarians breaking up with their oligarch buddies, those oligarch buddies don‘t end up in a good place.”

“They either end up impoverished, imprisoned, or dead. I‘m not saying that that‘s going to happen to Elon Musk here, but the power is with the government.”

Before the day was even out yesterday, reports had surfaced that Trump and Musk were scheduled to have a phone conversation to broker a peace. Musk had even tempered some of his comments on X, at one point commenting, “You’re not wrong,” in response to a post suggesting that the two “should make peace for the benefit of our great country.”

Trump, meanwhile, has thus far spent his morning on X boasting about the economic accomplishments of his administration, seemingly unaware of his own plot to have Musk shivved.

Radio host Tony Katz responded to Garcia-Navarro’s comments in his broadcast earlier today. He rightly pointed out that the suggestion that Trump would have Musk killed was idiotic, to put it mildly.

“I’m just going to stop right now … ” he said, pausing the clip after the CNN panelist got to the word ‘dead.’ ” … and tell you that Lulu Garcia-Navarro, whom I do not know, is dumb.”

“What is wrong with you?” a seething Katz asked. “When the political left was attacking people who owned Teslas and setting Tesla dealerships on fire, were you worried about whether or not Elon was going to be impoverished?”

“These people are just gross. They’re gross and they’re ignorant and they’re not worthy of your time or your love.”

If we’re being honest, those attributes Katz just listed off are considered résumé enhancers at CNN.

We know the level to which Garcia-Navarro can stoop with her ignorance. This is the same individual who, prior to the election, got wrecked by Vice President JD Vance when she tried to argue that the United States needs illegal immigrants to build houses.

With this morning’s comments and knowing full-well she walks into every intellectual gunfight armed with a frisbee, there’s no doubt CNN will have her back on very soon.
