POLL: Should Prince William and Duchess Sophie do more joint engagements? | Royal | News

Prince William stepped out for a very special engagement in Cornwall on June 6. Enjoying shots of gin, pints of cider and pasties at the Royal Cornwall Show, William, 43, was joined by Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh.

The pair, who are aunt and nephew through her marriage to Prince Edward, were treated to an air display by parachutists and welcomed by hundreds of cheering well-wishers as they attended the annual event to celebrate the very best of Cornish heritage and tradition through agriculture, food and drink.

Royal fans adored seeing the pair gel so well together, as they laughed and joked among themselves and with well-wishers.

Royal fans were delighted by the sight of William and Sophie teaming up for a joint engagement.

Taking to X, one fan commented: “How much fun it looks like they are having!”, followed by smiling emoji.

Another added: “William and Sophie clearly have a very relaxeed relationship with each-other, lovely to see.”

A third fan wrote: “Wonderful, natural, authentic. Humble. Perfect”. This comment prompted a reply from @Canellecitadelle, which read: “They make us proud.”

Laughing at their bond, which was caught in a number of clips from the visit, another commented: “I love how he teases her.”

William is a patron of the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association (RCAA), the charity which organises the three-day show.

Like her nephew, Sophie is the RCAA’s vice president and a patron of the Association of Show and Agricultural Organisations.
