Reform MP Richard Tice has responded to demographic projections suggesting white Britons will become a minority by 2063, emphasising that the date is “a very long way off”.
Reacting to the report, Reform MP Richard Tice said: “I haven’t seen those predictions. 2063 is a very long way off, it’s a few decades.
“I’m trying to do the maths quickly in my head, I’ll be long gone by then. I think the UK is a Christian nation, we should stand up and be proud of that.
“Let’s see what happens. But at the end of the day, what we should be focusing on is getting our own people back into work, training up our own people.
Richard Tice said that “we need more British born people”

“For example Nigel has talked quite recently about families. We need more British born people, so we need to be less reliant on immigration. And that’s the issue.”
GB News star Steven Edgington said: “It will be a huge moment in British history for the first time ever in this nation’s more than a thousand years of proud history.”

Tice said: “You’re obsessed with this stuff. Matt Goodwin has made a forecast. He may or may not be right.
“I don’t know what his computer model is. I’ve not seen it, but the the sensible discussion to have is what is what what sort of population do we want to have?
“Can we make that population more prosperous? Can we have a high quality, highly skilled immigration policy?”
The research, based on Office for National Statistics and census data, projects that the white British share of the population will fall to 57 per cent by 2050 before becoming a minority in 2063.
Professor Goodwin’s analysis suggests that by 2100, white British people could comprise just 33.7 per cent of the population.
The study forecasts a significant rise in foreign-born and second-generation immigrants, from below 20 per cent currently to 33.5 per cent within 25 years.
By the end of the century, six in ten people in the UK will either not have been born in the country or will have at least one immigrant parent, according to the projections.

The Muslim population is estimated to increase from 7 per cent today to 11.2 per cent by 2050 and 19.2 per cent by 2100.
Professor Goodwin’s report warned the findings would spark “considerable degree of anxiety, concern and political opposition” among voters favouring lower immigration.
He stated that concerns about maintaining “the symbols, traditions, culture and ways of life of the traditional majority group” would need to be “recognised, respected and addressed” to avoid “political turbulence and polarisation”.
