GOP Rep. Files Police Report Over Troubling Alleged Incident Involving Pro-Hamas Agitator – RedState

As we continue to learn more about Vance Boelter, who is accused of murdering Minnesota state Rep. Melissa Hortman (D) and her husband, Mark, on Saturday and who is also accused of trying to kill state Sen. John Hoffman (D) and his wife, Yvette, some pretty predictable finger-pointing is coming from the Usual Suspects.

Sens. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) and Chris Murphy (D-CT), for instance, rushed to blame President Trump for the alleged motivations of Boelter, with Merkley saying Monday that “I feel like Trump has really popped the lid off of the rhetoric and the sense of hate and violence and promoted this type of environment.”

In a Twitter/X thread posted Sunday, Murphy proclaimed that “So can we stop walking on eggshells about MAGA’s legitimization of political violence? Yes, Republicans have also been the target of inexcusable violence, but this isn’t a ‘both sides’ issue.”

While I’m sure Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), for one, would beg to differ with that assessment, as would the numerous victims of the anti-Tesla domestic terrorism attacks, another alleged incident has popped up on the political violence radar, with this one involving Rep. Max Miller (R-OH).

According to Miller, who is Jewish and who is serving his second term in Congress, a deranged pro-Hamas agitator ran him off the road in Ohio Thursday, waving a “Palestinian” flag before driving off:

“As I was driving to work, some unhinged, deranged man decided to lay on his horn and run me off the road, when he couldn’t get my attention, to show me a Palestinian flag, not to mention death to Israel, death to me — that he wanted to kill me and my family,” Miller said in the video.

“You have an issue? Take it to our office. You want to run me off the road? That’s a different story,” Miller said in the video.

“We know who you are, young man, and the police are going to be paying you a visit, and I hope what you did this morning is worth it to you and anyone else who plans on doing this to anybody within our district, state or country,” he added.

House Democrat leaders have already issued a statement denouncing the alleged attack and calling for stronger security measures for members of Congress:

We condemn in the strongest possible terms the attack on Congressman Max Miller and his family and are thankful they are safe. The rise in political violence in this country is unacceptable. This is a moment of crisis that requires Congress to act decisively in order to ensure the safety of every single Member who serves in the People’s House.

The alleged incident comes nearly a month after two Israeli Embassy staffers were murdered in Washington, DC by an alleged pro-Hamas activist, and two and a half weeks after the Molotov cocktail attack in Boulder, CO by an alleged pro-Hamas sympathizer, which injured 15 people including a Holocaust survivor who were demonstrating on behalf of the hostages who have yet to be released by Hamas terrorists.

In a follow-up to his original post, Miller noted that he had filed a police report and would provide a copy of the finalized version as soon as it was made available.

“Thank you to the local police departments of Ohio’s 7th District and the U.S. Capitol Police for your assistance today,” he tweeted. “A police report has been filed, and when I am able to share the finalized report I will do so immediately.”

We’ll keep you posted on the latest developments. Stay tuned.
