Pro-Palestine protesters break into RAF base and damage two military aircrafts

Protesters from a pro-Palestine protest group have broken into an RAF base, damaging two military aircraft.

The group, known as Palestine Action, broke into RAF Brize Norton, where flights depart daily from the base to RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus.

Palestine Action claim those who broke in “also escaped undetected”.

A Palestine Action spokesperson stated: “Despite publicly condemning the Israeli Government, Britain continues to send military cargo, fly spy planes over Gaza and refuel US/Israeli fighter jets.

“Britain isn’t just complicit, it’s an active participant in the Gaza genocide and war crimes across the Middle East.

“By decommissioning two military planes, Palestine Action have directly intervened to break the chains of oppression.”

Two protesters from the group broke into RAF Brize Norton, the largest station in the Royal Air Force.

The pair appear on video entering with electric scooters, spraying red paint into the engines of the aircraft.

Palestine Action says a Palestinian flag was left at the scene.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

Palestine Action says the activists have “interrupted Britain’s direct participation in the commission of genocide and war crimes across the Middle East”.

The group believe the UK is complicit in Israel’s killing of Gaza civilians.

The incident follows tensions escalating in the Middle East, with conflict between Israel and Iran emerging in the past week.

Gaza has become a secondary front, according to the Israeli military, in the conflict in the Middle East, with Iran the primary fight.
