Vice President JD Vance was in Los Angeles on Friday to thank the National Guard and the Marines for their work there helping to protect federal agents and preserve the peace in the face of the anti-ICE riots.
Vance was interviewed by reporters when he arrived. The VP skewered Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA) for his theatrical whining over the incident at DHS Secretary Kristi Noem’s briefing, where he tried to crash the event but was promptly escorted out by security. But in the process of dismantling his silly arguments, Vance referred to him as “Jose Padilla.”
Warning – Implied profanity:
I think it’s safe to say that JD Vance gives zero f*cks.

That made the left flip out, including California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, despite the fact as some pointed out, Jose Padilla, a famous criminal, probably has a more well-known name than the senator.

Sen. Padilla then went on MSNBC to whine about what he was called.

Padilla insisted that Vance had to know his name. He claimed Vance calling him “Jose” was evidence of “how petty and unserious this administration is.” “You think he’d take the situation in Los Angeles more seriously,” Padilla complained. He even claimed that some Marines didn’t want to be deployed there in Los Angeles in response to the riots.
He accuses Vance and the administration of being petty and unserious? Look at how Dems have responded to this whole issue: theater, embracing illegal aliens, and not caring about enforcing the law. Demonizing law enforcement and not caring about how their attitudes and policies are hurting the people in their area. Democrats seem more concerned about what Padilla was called than about enforcing the law.
Then he claimed that all he did was have the audacity to ask a “question.”
Senator Alex “Jose” Padilla claims he was “just trying to ask a question” and did nothing more at the press conference with Kristi Noem.
However, the second video clearly shows the Senator attempting to push past officers after interrupting the event. He displayed no… pic.twitter.com/Wvs8mXfsWj

No, that’s not all. He was coming up the aisle toward the secretary, loudly interrupting when it wasn’t time for questions. It was a press briefing and he wasn’t part of the press invited to be there. It’s not “oversight” to just walk in and disrupt press briefings. Any security would have reacted to stop him, especially given the elevated threat level against the DHS. Then what did he do? He pushed back at the agents, still trying to move forward. He says who he is, but doesn’t stop or offer ID. They have no idea who he is – and I think that’s the thing that still galls him. He was so undistinguished that no one knew him.
He’s so undistinguished that even after his theater turn, a criminal is more remembered than he is.
The funny thing is now he is known a little bit: for whining. And because he’s been throwing such a fit and being such a “theater kid,” now he will have people calling him “Jose” just to get his goat. He’s not helping himself with this.
