Prince Andrew branded a ‘black cloud’ as return to Royal Family questioned | Royal | News

Prince Andrew may be the King’s brother, but there is reportedly very little chance of him ever returning to royal life, especially when Prince William takes to the throne. For years, Andrew, 65, has been involved in numerous scandals, which even saw him accused of sexual assault by Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre – claims he has always denied.

More recently, the prince – who is not a working royal – was wrapped up in another scandal when it emerged he had been friends with Chinese businessman and suspected spy Yang Tengbo. While Mr Tengbo denies claims he was a spy, Andrew’s previous friendship with him, which reportedly ended when concerns were first raised, brought more negative light over the prince.

Now, it is believed that Andrew is well and truly seen as a “black cloud” over the Royal Family, with Prince William reportedly set to never let him return to royal life, especially when William, 43, becomes King.

British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told Fox News Digital: “Prince William is a shrewd operator and stands firm in his decisions.

“He is committed and determined to do his best for the future of the monarchy. And his mind is made up.

“His scandalous uncle (Prince Andrew) is viewed as a black cloud. Future public royal duties are off the cards.

“If allowed, Andrew will likely bring further reputational damage to the monarchy at a time when the royal ship needs a careful steer. Prince Andrew will not have a formal role in Prince William’s future modernized, streamlined, monarchy.”
