DOJ Releases Mugshots of TX Extremists in Anti-ICE Shooting, and They Look Just How You’d Expect – RedState

As we reported, the DOJ announced on Monday that the Fourth of July shooting of a police officer was actually part of a larger plot intended to kill multiple ICE agents. Eleven people face serious federal charges—including attempted murder of a federal officer—and are looking at potentially long prison sentences if convicted, Acting U.S. Attorney Nancy Larson announced at a press conference.

On Tuesday, the US Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas released the names of the assailants and more details of what looks like their plan for a mass casualty event.

The mugshots of the individuals reveal them to be just who you’d expect them to be: gender fluid, miserable, mentally compromised, disturbed-looking folks who all need serious grooming tips:

One local police officer was shot in the neck, and survived. The group was armed with multiple rifles, pistols, body armor, escape vehicles, radios, and other devices indicating a planned conspiracy.

Note: Although multiple sources like the above tweet say the extremists are members of Antifa, the DOJ did not mention the violent anti-fascist group in its Tuesday press release.

TX Police Officer Shot in Neck at ICE Detention Center, Multiple Suspects Arrested Wearing Body Armor

The more information that comes out about this plot, the more sinister it becomes. We reported that they lured authorities to the scene with fireworks and had anti-ICE flyers, body armor, goggles, and more. The new DOJ statement, however, reveals that while one perp was shooting the police officer in the neck, another shooter across the street fired off 20 to 30 rounds at correctional officers who had stepped outside the ICE facility.

As alleged in the complaint, AR-style rifles were found at the scene.  The assailants fled from the detention center but were stopped by additional law enforcement officers.  Some defendants were wearing body armor, some were armed, and some had two-way radios.  A total of twelve sets of body armor were found during searches of vehicles associated with the defendants, on their persons, and in the area around the Prairieland Detention Center.

Additionally, officers found spray paint, flyers stating, “FIGHT ICE TERROR WITH CLASS WAR!” and “FREE ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS,” and a flag stating, “RESIST FACISM – FIGHT OLIGARCHY.”  One of the alleged attackers had cell phones inside a “Faraday bag,” used to block phone signals and commonly used by criminal actors to try to prevent law enforcement from tracking their location.

From the looks of it, this could have been a major domestic terrorism incident with multiple law enforcement deaths. These zealots appear to have messed up the plot somehow, however, and instead of fomenting violence, they’re likely to be staring at concrete walls for the next decade. The DOJ pointed out that for now, they’re presumed innocent, but if and when that changes things won’t go well for them:

A criminal complaint is merely an allegation of criminal conduct, not evidence.  All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  If convicted, the defendants face a minimum penalty of ten years in federal prison and a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.

Enjoy your stay.
