Trump Supporters Tried to Assassinate President, Violence Doesn’t Come From Democrats – RedState

Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett believes violence doesn’t come from the left side of the political aisle and insisted the men who tried to carry out assassination attempts against the President last year were actually “Trump supporters.”

Gaslighting 101.

Crockett (D-TX) spoke with comedian Hasan Minhaj, another alumnus from “The Daily Show,” a fake news program that leftists like to fall back on for their world views.

Minhaj prompted the Democrat by suggesting her Republican colleagues had shied away from impeaching President Trump because they were concerned about violence from their own voters.

Crockett took that claim, poured fuel on it, and lit a match with what can only be politely referred to as stupid on steroids.

“The violence doesn’t come from Democrats, just to be clear,” Crockett claimed without evidence. “I mean, obviously, anyone can be a criminal, but, um, it is MAGA. It’s specifically MAGA faction.”

“Like, I don’t think traditional Republicans are getting engaged in all of this, but like even when we look at – and they don’t talk about the assassination attempts anymore, that took place with Donald Trump – but these, these were Trump supporters, right?”

She says this just days removed from a major plot by resistance actors to ambush and assassinate multiple ICE agents in the very state from which she is a Representative.

It’s difficult to ascertain exactly what Crockett is talking about. Republicans don’t talk about the assassination attempts anymore? As if they’re trying to move on because it, in her mind, turned out to be Trump supporters?

Blithering. Idiot.

I’m sorry, did we or did we not just have six members of the Secret Service suspended for their conduct in connection with the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania? Or nah?

You can watch more of Crockett’s comments—because they get progressively more ludicrous throughout the interview—below.

What Crockett is latching onto here is that the would-be assassin in Butler last July had reportedly registered as a Republican years earlier, which, A) doesn’t make you MAGA and a Trump supporter by any stretch, and B) clearly had no bearing on his attack.

Reports suggest that Thomas Matthew Crooks was mentally unraveling at the time of his plot to kill Trump, with interests in researching historical assassinations like that of John F. Kennedy. No direct evidence links him to being a fervent MAGA supporter.

As for Ryan Wesley Routh, the man behind the second assassination attempt against Trump in September, he was clearly a pro-Ukraine nut who thought he could help that country by taking down the President.

On the same day that Crockett suggested violence does not come from her side of the political aisle, another man was arrested for threatening to kill Trump, Attorney General Pamela Bondi, and White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.

With Crockett as their party’s face, the Democrats may not be exclusively responsible for violence, but they sure have a stranglehold on dumbing down the political discourse in this country.
