Kash Patel ‘Going Nowhere,’ Too Busy Directing ‘Major’ Investigation Into Russiagate – RedState

The Friday news cycle was dominated by reports that FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino skipped work and is considering resigning because of disagreements with Attorney General Pam Bondi over the Jeffrey Epstein files and the way their release was handled.

Many pundits felt that the AG had overpromised but then under-delivered on possible new revelations in the investigation of the convicted pedophile. The Department of Justice announced Monday that there was no Epstein “client list” and that it was confirmed that he died by suicide in his Rikers Island jail cell and was not murdered. It was a conclusion that left many observers dissatisfied, including, reportedly, Bongino.

A number of outlets reported that FBI Director Kash Patel also might leave the Bureau if Bongino left. On Friday night, Just the News founder, editor-in-chief, and veteran political reporter John Solomon shot that notion down.

Kash Patel is going nowhere unless the president tries to move Kash Patel. He’s there for the long haul.

On the Just the News website, they teased Solomon’s announcement by saying they had a “unique episode” to share:

Tonight’s show is a unique episode with live footage from Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA Student Action Summit 2025. In the middle of the show, host John Solomon breaks some big news about the most talked about story of the day, the Jeffrey Epstein story and how it is causing an uproar in MAGA world, as Dan Bongino has taken a break from his position as Deputy Director of the FBI.

Solomon went on to detail that Bongino is still mulling his options, but Patel is not going anywhere because he is too involved with a huge Russiagate investigation looking into matters over an entire decade.

Watch:

He says Kash Patel isn’t going anywhere and all rumors related to him are not true, but Dan Bongino is in fact taking a few days [to] consider if he wants to stay on the Job…

Solomon got right to the point:

[There are reports] tonight that Kash Patel is considering resigning alongside of Dan Bongino. It is not true.

My reporting makes very clear Kash is going nowhere unless the president tries to move Kash Patel. He’s there for the long haul. Why is that?

Solomon went on to explain that Patel is not going to leave because he’s way too involved in finding out just how deep the rot went as a politicized justice system tried over many years to ruin Donald Trump with false allegations of Russia collusion:

Because the FBI has a major investigation that looks at the last 10 years of what happened to Donald Trump as one large conspiracy case. No one’s going to give up that opportunity.

Now, it is true that Dan Bongino, he’s taking a few days to reconsider whether he wants to stay in the job. That’s his decision…

Solomon believes Bongino will stay in the end, but acknowledges that the popular former radio host could decide differently:

I bet you he’ll come back when it’s all done.

He also told his audience that accountability is coming for Deep Staters, and MAGA Americans will be very happy with new revelations that he says will be coming soon:

I think next week, over the next 10 days, in the base who’s been wondering, where’s all that accountability?

They’re going to get some big surprises over the next week concerning where the conspiracy began, a few weeks before Crossfire Hurricane was opened, and when it ended all the way in 2024, when they were still trying to pursue Donald Trump to keep him from winning the presidency, there was a big case that’s been built by the Justice Department and the FBI.

It’s been masked by a lot of this infighting and drama and soap opera stuff, but the truth of the matter is, MAGA base Americans are going to be happy when they see where this is all heading in the next few weeks.

Solomon has a solid track record, so we’ll see whether his reporting turns out to be accurate. Most Trump supporters would not like to see either Kash Patel or Dan Bongino depart so early in the administration, so let’s hope Solomon is right.
