The average price for a dozen eggs is now $3.77, another step down from March’s record-high carton costs.
The latest numbers mark the third straight month of declining egg prices for American consumers, according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data.

Overall inflation hit 2.7 percent in June compared to a year earlier, the Labor Department said Tuesday.
That is 0.3 percent higher than last month’s 2.4 percent reading. Core inflation — which cuts out volatile food and energy prices — also saw an uptick to 2.9 percent.
