Burger King debuts ‘ultimate’ summer offering including ‘UK first’ – available now

Just weeks after announcing its “mouth-watering” summer menu, Burger King has launched a summer delivery service aimed at rescuing failed barbecues.

Priced at £22.99, the brand-new “Barbe-res-cue Bundle” hopes to save the day when grilling disaster strikes – or you’re feeling too lazy to whip up a feast.

The initiative arrives as new data from the restaurant chain indicates that nearly a third of Britons believe home barbecues fail to meet expectations.

The delivery-only package allows customers to select two main items from the Whopper, Chicken Royale, or Bacon Double Cheeseburger. It also includes two children’s meals, chips, and spicy cheese bites.

“Available on delivery, the bundle is packed with delicious burgers and sides perfect for sharing with family and friends,” the company stated.

“It’s the ultimate feast for those who’ve faced BBQ heartbreak or just don’t trust their parents or friends with the tongs!”

The company’s research identified charred food as the primary complaint among barbecue enthusiasts, with blackened food produced by “overly confident cooks” topping the list of irritations.

British weather emerged as another leading barbecue spoiler, while unwanted smoke and insects rounded out the top three annoyances.

“Step aside, burnt sausages and sad salads. Burger King UK is firing up a BBQ rescue mission,” the chain announced.

The restaurant emphasised its seven-decade heritage in flame-grilling, stating it “has been delivering flame-grilled excellence since 1954”.

The fast-food chain has also established what it calls “the UK’s first barbecue rescue hotline”.

Customers experiencing grilling disasters can message the company’s Instagram with photos of their cooking failures.

The children’s package contains a four-inch sandwich, an accompanying snack, and a beverage.

To ensure mealtime entertainment for youngsters, meal boxes feature the brand’s Fresh Moves characters and activities.

The three-week initiative returns following previous successful runs that provided meals for numerous families across the UK and Ireland.
