(LifeSiteNews) — A chorus of outrage erupted on social media after it was revealed that a homosexual — a registered sex offender after having been convicted of sexual abuse of young teen male — was able to obtain an infant boy through surrogacy.
Brandon Mitchell, who “married” another male, Logan Riley, is described as Tier 1 sex offender in Pennsylvania, convicted of “sexual abuse of children” and “possession of child pornography.” A high school chemistry teacher at the time, Mitchell was arrested in 2016 for numerous “sexually explicit solicitations and conversations” with a 16-year-old student after he was found to have sent 20 nude photos and a sexually explicit video of himself.
The drama exploded after the couple shared a video of them celebrating holidays with the surrogate-born boy through the first year of his life.

Citizen journalist Derek Blighe posted the video on X, noting, “Unless a miracle happens, this child has almost no chance at a normal life.”
Blighe’s post has now been viewed well over 11 million times.

The fact that Mitchell was able to procure a child through surrogacy shines a bright light on the mostly unregulated industry, which serves the adults seeking children but not the children they obtain.
‘Sick. Horrifying. Evil beyond description.’
“How do sick degenerates like this get approved to be the guardian of a child?” Riley Gaines asked.
“As far as I’m concerned, anyone involved in their approval process should be in prison,” Gaines added.

“Conceiving a child with the intention of placing him in a motherless home to be raised by these two creatures,” The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh wrote on X. “Absolutely horrifying. Evil beyond description.”
Not only had the pair obtained the child regardless of Mitchell’s criminal sexual past, but they reportedly used the crowd funding app, GoFundMe, in order to help the boy.
“It’s been revealed a gay couple who crowdfunded their surrogacy journey now has custody of a baby boy, despite one partner Brandon Keith Riley Mitchell being a convicted child sex offender, using a Pennsylvania surrogacy loophole that bypasses state adoption restrictions on registered predators,” Right Angle News Network reported on X.

“Child sex offenders are free to adopt and buy children via surrogacy in the name of ‘LGBTQ rights,’” conservative commentator Allie Beth Stuckey noted.

“Remember this the next time someone shames you, Christian, for ‘pushing your values,’” Stuckey counseled. “Pushing Christian values in the public sphere saves lives. It curtails depravity like this.”
A couple years ago, I interviewed a woman by the name of Jessica Bates. She’s a Christian mom who applied to adopt two children out of the foster care system in Oregon. The state denied her application because of her refusal to “respect, accept, and support” the idea that a child… https://t.co/oUDQnDIr50

‘This should be outlawed … ban surrogacy’
Many conservative Christians reacted to the story by taking to X to demand that surrogacy be banned.
“Horrific,” wrote pro-life activist Lila Rose, founder of LiveAction. “After a viral video of two men kissing a little baby boy who they bought via crowdsourcing, IVF and a surrogate, internet sleuths discovered one of the men was a registered sex offender,”
“No vetting process is required for surrogacy. Anyone with money can buy a child,” Rose said. “Not only was this baby deprived of a mother by design, no safety mechanisms are in place to protect him. Children are not commodities.”
“Ban surrogacy,” she added.
Horrific.

“Welcome to Pennsylvania where convicted pedophiles are banned from contact with children, but if you adopt a baby via surrogacy, it’s all good,” America First attorney Rogan O’Handley (aka, DC Draino) explained on X.
“Insane,” O’Handley said. “Save this baby and change the laws.”

“When are we going to put the rights and well-being of children FIRST and ban surrogacy??” pro-life commentator Samantha D. wondered.
Zero shock. I hate it here.

Republican U.S. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna asked Pennsylvania’s attorney general, “Why is this child molester allowed to adopt a child?”
“The fact that this man is exploiting a loophole allowing surrogacy adoption, despite being a registered sex offender, is disgusting. This should be OUTLAWED,” she declared.
“I don’t care who you are, what your race is, or your gender: if you’re a registered sex offender, you should not be allowed near children, let alone adopt them,” Luna said.

Addressing his comments to “Every person that shouted: Inclusion, Diversity, Privilege, ‘Love is love,’ LGBTQ rights, Sexual liberation,” Christian podcast host John Mason said, “This is what you supported and asked for in your delusion. This is what prioritizing sexual perversion leads to.”
“Repent and believe in Jesus Christ,” Mason said. “This evil needs to be ended and never allowed to happen again.”

“For a decade, family policy and narrative has been adult therapy, making grown-ups the victims when they don’t get what they want,” wrote Katy Faust, founder and president of the global child advocacy organization, Them Before Us, on X.
“Newsflash: kids are the real victims when we screw this up,” Faust said. “Exhibit 347: this baby is being raised by a convicted pedophile.”
“This horrifying case of a pedophile acquiring a surrogate boy is opening a lot of eyes,”
said Faust in a subsequent X post.
“No part of this process considers the best interest of the child. It is a market based delivery system for any and every adult to acquire children,” Faust warned.
“The industry must be opposed at all costs,” she urged.
‘A massive moral indictment’
“Adoption provides a home for a child; surrogacy provides a child for a home,” Jonathan Sarfati, Ph.D., F.M., mused.
“The fact that gay chiId sex offenders are able to legally purchase baby boys is a massive moral indictment on us all,” End Wokeness stated.
