Last week, we reported on the revelation that FBI Director Kash Patel found a trove of thousands of sensitive documents related to the Trump–Russia probe in multiple ‘burn bags’ in a secret room at the Bureau. According to the report, among the documents was the classified annex to the Durham report. That followed the bombshell information dropped by the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), Tulsi Gabbard, regarding the alleged plot to smear President Donald Trump.
As we noted, that annex was a “doozy,” including what it says about Hillary Clinton and the alleged approval of the Trump smear.
NEW: The Durham Annex Is Out and It’s a Doozy
Now, according to Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), there may have been more than just the Trump-Russia documents in the burn bags, as our sister site Townhall reports. Luna was on Benny Johnson’s online show to talk about the subpoenas that went out regarding the Epstein case including to Bill and Hillary Clinton, as well as to multiple former Attorneys General and former FBI Directors, James Comey and Robert Mueller.
But in the process, Luna let out some information when she was asked about what questions she might have for some of the witnesses. She replied that she would be “asking them directly who authorized this information to be placed in burn bags,” and what information they have about the “destruction of evidence pertaining to Jeffrey Epstein, which we know right now the FBI is actively investigating.”
That was a surprise. She was asked if she was “confirming” that the FBI has destroyed any Epstein evidence.
She said she is “confirming that there’s an open investigation,” and that “resulted in them finding burn bags pertaining to Russiagate and potentially Epstein, yes.” She also mentioned following up with a whistleblower. That’s big news – that they are looking into whether things were destroyed.
It’s not clear precisely what evidence she’s referencing. If there were Epstein files in the burn bags, that could raise other concerning questions about what was going on there, beyond the Russia allegations. Why would you have any Epstein evidence in burn bags? That would be my question.
Luna said she is glad that people will be held accountable, and that “there’s a lot that happens behind the scenes.” She added that the fact is they are going “after these people.” It was not clear if she meant the people involved with Epstein or the Russia probe. Either might seem to fit, as there are ongoing investigations into both.

Comer’s letter to Bill Clinton raised some of the big questions, including the times Clinton admitted he flew on Epstein’s plane (although other analyses break that down into bigger numbers).
It has also been claimed that you pressured Vanity Fair not to publish sex trafficking allegations against your “good friend” Mr. Epstein, and there are conflicting reports about whether you ever visited Mr. Epstein’s island. You were also allegedly close to Ms. Ghislane Maxwell, an Epstein co-conspirator, and attended an intimate dinner with her in 2014, three years after public reports about her involvement in Mr. Epstein’s abuse of minors.
We reported on the claim from Clinton’s former “body man,” Doug Band, that Clinton went to Epstein’s island, that Epstein was at the Clinton White House several times, and that Maxwell was even at Chelsea Clinton’s wedding.
Trump told Attorney General Pam Bondi to release any credible evidence that she might have. The DOJ also questioned Ghislaine Maxwell for information that might be helpful on suspects.
So, the answers to some of those questions will likely be quite interesting.
