(LifeSiteNews) — This year’s New York City mayoral race is shaping up to be quite possibly one of the most important elections in our nation’s history, and although there are four major candidates, it is the front runner Zohran Mamdani who has brought the Big Apple to this pivotal moment.
Mr. Mamdani is a 33-year-old New York state assemblyman, born in Uganda, only to become a nationalized United States citizen in 2018 but still retaining dual citizenship with Uganda. Mr. Mamdani, depending on the poll, is currently leading the other candidates by double digits and unfortunately is very well positioned to win this race.
So, let’s take a quick look at his platform and the political, social, and cultural implications a Mamdani win will bring, for both NYC and the rest of the nation.
Democrat Mamdani, Bernie Sanders, and Sanders’ heir apparent, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez — considered by some to be a potential 2028 presidential candidate — are each strongly allied with the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).
In other words: they are all socialists.
Mr. Mamdani’s socialist platform includes the following:
- Public grocery stores
- Free bus rides
- No cost child-care
- Freezing rent on all rent-stabilized NYC apartments
Now besides all these economic pipe dreams, Mr. Mamdani is also a champion of the “defund the police” movement, so in lieu of strengthening the New York City Police Department he has proposed a new Department of Community Safety, with the utopian intent of “preventing violence before it happens by prioritizing solutions which have been consistently shown to improve safety” — whatever that means.
But what New York really needs in order to “prioritize” the fight against crime is a fully staffed, strongly led and well-trained police department, not more social workers who, although they have a noble calling, will be no deterrent to anyone bent on committing violent crime.

As concerning as the above platform may seem, recent posts on X here and here suggest that Mamdani and the DSA have a much more diabolical agenda for our nation.
I have been told many times that when someone tells you who they are you listen to them, and right now the DSA, emboldened by Zohran Mamdani’s newly established political clout, is telling us exactly who they are and what they hope to achieve if they eventually come to power in NYC, which is unequivocal access to abortion, the destruction of the nuclear family and the promotion of transgender ideology:
- “I want to perform abortions at a church before it is all said and done…”
- “We argue for the abolition of the family in general … the institution of the family acts as part of the carceral system.”
- “When we talk about family abolition, we’re talking about the abolition of the economic unit … all of our needs taken care of by the collective.”
But these diabolical socialists aren’t stopping there. They have made “gender-affirming” mutilation a top priority, and they plan on using a potential Mamdani mayoral win to propel this evil nationwide:
- They aim to “provide gender affirming care to anyone who wants it for free. We’re gonna fly people in and pay for their hotel rooms.”
- “We collaborated with Zohran Mamdani campaign on his trans rights platform, and what we explicitly wanted to do was use the power of New York City to provide free gender affirming care … not just to people in New York City but across the country”
- “DSA has regular meetings with him, let alone his team. His policy director is my friend” — which suggests Mamdani is fully aware of all of this.
Now most folks reading this short article may disregard the concerns I have presented here because they do not live in New York City or state, but I ask everyone that does read it two very serious questions, one religious and one political:
- Would the election of Zohran Mamdani to be the mayor of NYC initiate the exportation of the spiritually destructive agenda of the DSA, an agenda roundly condemned by popes from Leo XIII to Benedict XVI, across the nation?
- Would his election benefit his political friend and ally, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, in becoming a serious contender in the 2028 presidential election?
To the first inquiry, I am certain that he will no doubt continue to do the work of the evil one, promoting anti-family and pro-abortion initiatives both in NYC and across the nation.
To the second, I do not have a crystal ball, and I am really unsure whether a Mamdani win could propel AOC to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. However, I know one thing for certain: the best way to stop this is for every American to do whatever they can, no matter where you live, to help keep the keys of Gracie Mansion out of the hands of Zohran Mamdani, even if we have to give them to a man who wears a funny red hat.
