Not that it wasn’t already a well-established fact, but Democrat lawmakers at the state level are oftentimes just as fanatical as, if not more so than, the ones you’ll find in Congress.
For instance, there are, of course, the Democrats in the Texas state legislature, many of who who fled the state over the weekend in response to a redistricting dispute, crying about how “democracy was at stake” over a proposed new map that could potentially net Republicans four to five more seats in the U.S. House if approved.
But where did they go? The Democrat-run states of Illinois and New York, both of which have turned gerrymandering into an art form over the last several decades, all supposedly in the name of “democracy.”

There are also those who are openly and actively attempting to thwart immigration law enforcement agents, like Rhode Island state lawmaker Enrique Sanchez (D), who is now on DHS’ radar in a big way after appearing to threaten ICE agents in a recent X posting.
“It will be soon the day that I confront these Nazi ICE thugs in person for terrorizing our communities. It will be a day of reckoning and no going back,” Sanchez tweeted on July 30th.
The latest Democrat state lawmaker to target ICE is Arizona state Sen. Analise Ortiz, who was caught sharing information about immigration sweeps in her community on Instagram:

When DHS was alerted to this information, spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin went off, and noted that Ortiz’s actions may amount to obstruction of justice:
“Arizona state Senator Analise Ortiz is siding with vicious cartels, human traffickers, and violent criminals over American citizens,” said McLaughlin.

In response to Fox News Digital’s question about whether Ortiz could face charges, McLaughlin answered, “This certainly looks like obstruction of justice.”

“The men and women of ICE put their lives on the line every day to arrest violent criminal illegal aliens to protect and defend the lives of American citizens,” said McLaughlin. “Make no mistake, sanctuary politicians like Arizona Senator Analise Ortiz are contributing to the surge in assaults of our ICE officers through their repeated vilification and demonization of ICE.”
At the state level, state Sen. Jake Hoffman (R) is preparing to file an ethics complaint and is calling for Ortiz to be expelled over her continued defiance (language warning):

Arizona state Rep. Rachel Keshel (R) is also on board with expelling her:

Ortiz has also been referred for investigation to the US Attorney for the District of Arizona:

Not surprisingly, U.S. Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari (D-AZ) has endorsed Ortiz’s actions:

Arizona’s Democrat attorney general, Kris Mayes, and other defenders of Ortiz are also trying to make this a free speech issue, except, as Republican state Rep. John Gillette pointed out, that’s not exactly the case:

One wonders if Mayes would still be touting Ortiz’s alleged “free speech rights” to out ICE agents and their locations if, God forbid, one of the agents got hurt or killed as a result of Ortiz’s campaign?
