We’ve read about some of the horrendous crimes that routinely occur in our nation’s capital, Washington, DC, including the recent beatdown by violent teenagers of DOGE staffer “Big Balls” Edward Coristine as he attempted to thwart a carjacking.
We’ve also reported on President Donald Trump’s vow to make the seat of our democracy great again—perhaps even by having the federal government take control of the city—but now we have some concrete steps to report.
The gist: the president is tasking over 100 FBI agents to clamp down on the anarchy in The Swamp:
The Trump administration plans to temporarily reassign 120 F.B.I. agents in Washington to nighttime patrol duties as part of President Trump’s crackdown on the city’s street crime, according to people familiar with the matter.
Most of the agents will be pulled from their regular duties at the F.B.I.’s Washington field office, but it was not immediately clear if agency leaders would need to pull additional personnel from nearby cities, the people said, speaking on condition of anonymity to describe details of an effort that were not meant to be public.
There are plenty of reasons to take back control:

The FBI and DHS have responded.
Enough is enough. DC is a failed city.

The president has scheduled a news conference for Monday, where he will further outline his plans to make the capital of the nation into something we can be proud of instead of the embarrassment it has been for so many years.
White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller echoed his boss’ priorities Saturday, reiterating that for a country to be great, its capital must be great:
Washington DC is the capital of the United States, the seat of American power, and the one location where our citizens can exercise the sacred constitutional right to access their own federal government.
DC must be safe for all Americans.
And President Trump will make it so.

The DC Swamp has been a stain on our nation for many decades now (remember Marion Barry?). The powers met in marbled halls even as the crime tally on the street kept rising and the city became unsafe for so many.
Trump wants to change all that, and the deployment of the FBI is evidently Step #1:
