The Left’s “resistance” to democracy comes in considerable part from government bureaucrats. Usually that resistance takes the form of undermining the implementation of conservative policies. But sometimes bureaucrats get carried away with their anti-Trump fervor.
Take the case of Sean Charles Dunn, who was outraged by the administration’s effort to crack down on crime in Washington, D.C. Dunn screamed at an FBI agent on the street, and finally threw a Subway sandwich at him:
“F— you! You f—ing fascists! Why are you here? I don’t want you in my city!” Dunn allegedly fumed within inches of an officer’s face, per a criminal complaint.
Who is Sean Charles Dunn? An employee of the Department of Justice:
Dunn worked as an international affairs specialist in the Justice Department’s criminal division — which handles cases of fugitives abroad and helps foreign countries on extradition matters with their own fugitives, according to the DOJ.
We should say, a former employee of the Department of Justice. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro was not amused:
“The police are not out there to get pushed around or beat up,” DC US Attorney Jeanine Pirro declared in announcing the case against Dunn. “He thought it was funny. Well, he doesn’t think it’s funny today because we charged him with a felony: Assault on a police officer.”
What makes these liberals so crazy? How are their minds so twisted that they would rather side with criminals than give President Trump credit for trying to make Washington, D.C. a more livable city? I don’t know. It is a question over which future historians will puzzle.
