President Trump and his administration have done an amazing job securing our southern border. For the third month in a row, no illegal aliens have been released into our country—a massive difference from the Biden years and something Trump has accomplished nearly by himself. The work continues to remove those here illegally who entered during the Democrats’ wide-open border policies. Unfortunately, the process isn’t immediate, and Americans may suffer at times throughout the deportation effort.
Last week, in a tragic accident, three American citizens were killed by an illegal alien truck driver in Florida. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has already opened an investigation into the incident, but early findings are extremely unsettling and infuriating.
In a press release from the U.S. Department of Transportation, the agency states:
“Preliminary results of the investigation have found when interviewed the driver did not speak English, and both Washington State and New Mexico violated FMCSA rules.”
Investigators with the FMCSA have already interviewed the illegal alien driver who was administered an English Language Proficiency Assessment:
“During FMCSA’s interview with the driver, investigators administered an English Language Proficiency (ELP) assessment in accordance with FMCSA guidance. The driver failed the assessment, providing correct responses to just 2 of 12 verbal questions and only accurately identifying 1 of 4 highway traffic signs.”
How did this guy get a license? That’s exactly what the FMCSA is going to find out. These officials need to be held accountable, and I can only assume jail time will be the appropriate measure taken.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy was crystal clear in his rebuke of these “despicable failures” by state leadership:
“If states had followed the rules, this driver would never have been behind the wheel, and three precious lives would still be with us. This crash was a preventable tragedy directly caused by reckless decisions and compounded by despicable failures. Non-enforcement and radical immigration policies have turned the trucking industry into a lawless frontier, resulting in unqualified foreign drivers improperly acquiring licenses to operate 40-ton vehicles. We will use every tool at our disposal to hold these states and bad actors accountable. President Trump and I will restore safety to our roads. The families of the deceased deserve justice.”
The other issue? If you regularly view major networks like CBS, NBC, and ABC, you haven’t seen this story. Why? Because they haven’t covered it. In a report by Newsbusters, the organization found that these three networks have not spent one second on this tragedy:
“BREAKING: ABC, CBS, and NBC refuse to cover the illegal alien trucker involved in a deadly crash that killed three people after he made an illegal U-turn. Despite covering other recent vehicle crashes, the networks are silent on this one.”
These networks are putting their own bias against the Trump administration over their viewers and the families who lost loved ones. They obviously don’t want stories like this to get out, but what they’re actually doing in their refusal to cover these stories is killing their own industry. What happened to these 3 Americans is a preventable tragedy. Thankfully, the Department of Transportation is taking this on and working to pull these illegal licenses and save American lives.
