Meghan Markle sends ‘intentional’ message to Royal Family with ‘deliberate’ Netflix move | Royal | News

Meghan Markle reportedly tried to send an “intentional” message to the Royal Family with a “deliberate” move in the new trailer for her Netflix show, a fashion expert has claimed. With Love Meghan’s season two trailer was released earlier this month ahead of its launch on Tuesday.

Among the celebrity guests joining the former Suits star during the eight episodes will be US model and TV personality Chrissy Teigen and Queer Eye star Tan France, as well as podcaster Jay Shetty and his cookbook author wife Radhi Devlukia. Chefs Samin Nosrat, Clare Smyth, Christina Tosi, Jose Andres, and David Chang, and Meghan’s close friends, make-up entrepreneur Jamie Kern Lima, pilates instructor Heather Dorak, and makeup artist Daniel Martin, will also appear.

Although the season was filmed at the same time as the first one, the Duchess of Sussex can be seen sporting a brand new wardrobe, which according to a personal stylist, was more “modern”.

California-based personal stylist and image consultant Cynthia Kennedy told the Daily Mail: “Her revamped style is sending everyone a message that [says], ‘I don’t have to dress like a duchess anymore — I get to dress like myself, and be more approachable, modern, authentic and real.

“Her choices feel deliberate and more like a conscious move toward comfort, vulnerability, relatability and ease without losing that sense of polish that keeps her aspirational,” she added.

“It’s a careful balance and I think she’s hitting it.”

The style expert argued that there has definitely been a “shift” in Meghan’s sartorial choices in the second season compared to the first one.

She explained: “In Season 1, Meghan relied on very polished, put-together looks that were almost ‘Duchess-lite’ — clean tailoring, muted neutrals, structured pieces and an overall feeling of being carefully refined.

“In Season 2, her style feels softer, relaxed, effortless and more lived-in. Her looks are still elegant, but now it’s mixed with approachable pieces like relaxed, cosy knits, breezy dresses and more casual silhouettes.”

She concluded that Meghan’s new look is “less like a public figure on a stage and more like a woman at home letting you into her world.”
