(LifeSiteNews) – Rapper Snoop Dogg is taking heat from woke leftists after he said he was “scared” to take his grandchildren to the movies after bringing his grandson to see Disney/Pixar’s “Toy Story” spinoff movie “Lightyear” that features a same-sex couple raising a child.
Snoop Dogg said he had hoped to sleep during the cartoon movie but instead ended up fielding questions about the movie’s homosexual characters.
During an appearance on Sarah Fontenot’s “It’s Giving” podcast — in which he attributed his success to his strong marriage to his wife, the only woman who has ever been in his life — the rapper recounted his grandson questioning him about how a lesbian couple portrayed in the animated kids’ film could have a child together.
“Papa Snoop, how she have a baby with a woman? She a woman.’ Oh s—, I didn’t come in for this s—,” Snoop Dogg said.
“They just said she and she had a baby. They both women. How does she have a baby?” he recalled his grandson asking.
“I’m scared to go to the movies. Like y’all throwing me in the middle of s— that I don’t have an answer for,” he explained.
“It threw me for a loop. I’m like what part of the movie was this? These are kids that we have to show that at this age like, they’re going to ask questions. They are going to ask. I don’t have an answer,” the rapper said during the interview. “And I was just there to go to sleep and watch the movie.”

One day after Snoop Dogg’s comments came to light, an Australian politician demanded that the rapper be dropped from the pregame entertainment at the Australian Football League’s (AFL) Grand Final in September.
Addressing the Australian Senate this week, Sen. Sarah Hanson-Young said Snoop Dogg is a “slur merchant” who will be paid “$2 million to play his misogynistic, homophobic music on our turf.”
Billboard Magazine online asserted that “Snoop Dogg should be sent to the doghouse, and nowhere near the 2025 AFL Grand Final.”
When “Lightyear” came out in 2022, Chris Evans, the actor who voiced the animated title character, Buzz Lightyear, called people “idiots” and “dinosaurs” for objecting to the homosexual kiss in the movie.
“The real truth is those people are idiots,” Evans told Reuters before the film’s release.
“Every time there’s been social advancement as we wake up, the American story, the human story is one of constant social awakening and growth and that’s what makes us good,” he said further.
“There’s always going to be people who are afraid and unaware and trying to hold on to what was before. But those people die off like dinosaurs,” Evans said. “I think the goal is to pay them no mind, march forward and embrace the growth that makes us human.”
American parents with young children — and their grandparents — have long punched back against the Walt Disney Company’s extreme woke guiding principles that include exposing children to as much homosexuality, same-sex marriage, transgenderism, and demonism as they think they can get away with.
