A New Golden Age | Power Line

“This is indeed a Golden Age of America,” President Trump told the U.N. General Assembly in a speech today in New York.

The full speech can be seen here on C-Span. The President started reading his speech from the binder at the lectern as the U.N. had cut off the teleprompter. Just earlier, the U.N. had shut down the escalator as he was riding on it. Such is the childishness and pettiness of the world’s top “diplomats.”

After some polite introductory remarks, Trump let them have it. You likely have already seen the highlights.

At 8:50 he talks about how little help the U.N. has been in ending conflicts around the world. Then the teleprompter finally started working.

At 10:20 he asks, “What is the purpose of the United Nations?”

Indeed. At 24:00 Trump starts talking about the international migration crisis. At 34:40 he returns to the subject of energy. At 37:00, Trump covers crime. A minute later, he returns to energy and the global climate change scam.

The full video runs less than 57 minutes. The speech itself takes up about 55 minutes of that running time.

The speech sounds like a “state of the union”-type address. It’s a good catalog of how much progress has been made in just 8 months.
