A question of rights | Power Line

With its cover story today, the New York Post draws attention to the Toronto International Film Festival’s cancelation of the premiere of a new documentary on Hamas’s October 7 massacre — “because organizers insist the filmmakers need the rights from the terrorist group to use their horrific footage of the massacre.”

The Washington Free Beacon covers the story in Matthew Xiao’s “Toronto Film Festival Cancels October 7 Documentary, Citing a Lack of ‘Legal Clearance’ From Hamas Terrorists,” with a link to the Times of Israel story here. Jewish Insider has more here.

The JNS story on the cancelation notes that the festival is about to screen five Palestinian films. No problem there. JNS also posts Bailey’s apparent denial that the problem is one of the terrorists’ intellectual property. At least Bailey and his team are embarrassed by their cowardice. They aren’t owning up to it.
