(LifeSiteNews) — Within hours of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk’s assassination on Wednesday, famous conservative actor and comedian Rob Schneider posted a lengthy tribute to Kirk via the social media platform X, emphasizing that the Turning Point USA co-founder and CEO had given his life for “the people and the country” he spent years fighting for in the culture war.
In his tribute, Schneider stressed that Kirk had died fighting to save America and its people from “Godlessness, censorship, cultural falsehoods, loss of common sense, common decency and authoritarian communism,” and other aspects of the woke culture. The actor also praised the late influencer’s love of God and country.
You can kill a man.
For we are all mortal.
But you can never kill his Love of his Savior Jesus Christ, his love of our great Nation, the United States of America, and his love of Freedom, Truth and his undying love, confidence and belief in the young people of America.
And you…

“Charlie Kirk was our modern-day Founding Father. And he helped save our country from slipping further into Godlessness, censorship, cultural falsehoods, loss of common sense, common decency and authoritarian communism,” Schneider wrote.
“Above all, Charlie Kirk was noble. He was a decent God-fearing man. And he ultimately gave his life for the people and the country that he loved so dearly,” he added.

Schneider then underscored that all Americans who love their country will continue to carry on Kirk’s legacy.
“All of us who truly love our country will continue to serve, honor and protect the Freedoms that were earned through blood so that we American citizens and our children may always live and breath in a Free society,” he said.
The actor continued: “Today, Let us all pledge our allegiance again as I know Charlie would want, to this great land and continue his love of God, Family and Country.”
Kirk, 31, was fatally shot in the neck while speaking at Utah Valley University’s campus as part of Turning Point USA’s “American Comeback Tour” on Wednesday afternoon. He left behind a wife and two young children.

As of this writing, Kirk’s assassin remains at large after two suspects were interrogated and released. FBI Salt Lake City sought the public’s help in identifying a person of interest in the shooting on Thursday morning.
Law enforcement also said that they had found a rifle near Utah Valley’s campus with cartridges all “engraved” with expressions of “transgender and anti-fascist ideology.”

“There will never be another Charlie Kirk. He is one of one. Charlie wasn’t just a force of nature in politics, he was a dear friend who would drop everything if you needed him,” White House communications director Steven Cheung said. “His legacy is a beacon of light in the world’s darkest hour.”
