Addenbrooke’s Hospital fire LIVE: Huge multi-vehicle blaze at Cambridge car park | World | News

Cambridgeshire Police said: “Due to a Fire in the vicinity/surrounding Addenbrookes Hospital Carpark one, access is currently limited/restricted. The following road closures are in place Robinson Way, Puddicombe Way, Adrian Way, Richard Howe Way. Please avoid the area if at all possible.”

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We are currently responding to a fire involving multiple vehicles on the second floor of car park one at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. More than 30 firefighters are at the scene, including from neighbouring fire and rescue services, and other specialist vehicles are in attendance.

“Crews are working hard to contain the fire and stop it from spreading.

“Please avoid the area as we deal with this incident and find alternative routes.

“There are not thought to be any injuries at this time.

“UPDATE 6:15pm – Firefighters are making good progress. Crews will be on scene throughout the evening and overnight to continue extinguishing the fire and to dampen down the area. Road closures on site remain in place.”

East of England Ambulance Service said: ” #EEAST are currently at this incident at Addenbrookes Hospital. There are no reports of casualties at this time, but we are attending to support fire and rescue colleagues.”
