All about the ‘former-cattle shed’ dubbed perfect for Sarah Ferguson | Royal | News

Sarah Ferguson is reportedly set to move into a modest “granny flat” at her daughter Princess Beatrice‘s house after being evicted from Royal Lodge.

The former Duchess of York, 66, is said to be “on edge” about the prospect of homelessness, with sources suggesting she and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, will part ways.

They are expected to be ousted from Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park soon due to the scandal surrounding the ex-royal.

It is believed that Sarah could reside in a “granny annexe” at the £3.5 million Oxfordshire mansion owned by her daughter Beatrice and son-in-law Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

One insider stated: “It would be perfect for the former Duchess as it’s close to her daughter but also completely independent of the main house where Beatrice and Eduardo live.”

“Sarah would be able to just walk a few yards and be an on-site baby sitter for Sienna who she simply adores and with Eugenie living in Portugal it makes perfect sense.”

The annex is a small one-bedroom former cattle shed at Beatrice’s home, nestled in a charming village.

Beatrice, 37, and Eduardo, 41, have recently renovated the outbuilding – planning documents on the council website reveal they’ve made several modifications to the property over the years.

The property stands ready for Sarah, an author, to potentially relocate before Christmas, though Andrew, 65, is anticipated to spend one final festive season at Royal Lodge.

The source revealed to the Mail on Sunday last week: “The granny annexe seems to be ready to move into now.

“It’d be perfect for Fergie, wouldn’t it? The stonework has all been repointed, the gutters renovated, the woodwork nicely painted. It has its own entrance.”

A delivery of propane gas cylinders reportedly arrived at the estate for the annexe last month during the freezing weather.

The accommodation already possessed the necessary facilities for Sarah, who has resided with Andrew for decades despite their 1996 divorce.

The former owners of the Oxfordshire estate completed the annexe, but according to local residents, it has undergone extensive refurbishment in recent months.

The masonry has been repointed and the drainage system replaced, whilst the annexe boasts its own separate entrance, which sources suggest would suit the former spouse of the embattled Duke of York perfectly.

Previous reports had suggested, however, that Fergie planned to relocate overseas following the Andrew scandal.

Her sister and dearest ally Jane Ferguson resides in Australia, whilst Princess Eugenie owns a £3.6million coastal property in Portugal. However, a return closer to home seems more probable for the grandmother of four, who has been active as a TV personality in this country in recent years.

This could potentially pave the way for further media work here, despite rumours indicating that Sarah lost her position on This Morning and other ITV shows.
