“Trump’s egg price fiction has suddenly become reality,” blared the CNN headline earlier this week. There’s a lot of that going around, that is Pres. Trump’s former “fictions” belatedly being recognized as reality, all along. CNN reported,
For months, President Donald Trump has falsely claimed that egg prices are tumbling. It wasn’t true then, but it’s true now.
Egg prices fell 12.7% last month, the biggest monthly decline since 1984, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Tuesday. And they could continue to fall this month, too.
How about that. Before I let this go, wouldn’t “for months” also include last month, when prices dropped? No matter.
As you already guessed from the featured image, the stock market (S&P 500 index) went up again today. We’ve seen 15 of the past 18 trading sessions show gains, dating back to April 21.
The index is up for the year to date, up since Election Day 2024, and up since January 14, the week before Trump began his second term.
Rasmussen? Pres. Trump’s approval rating remains above water, as it has every day in May.
