Andrew is reportedly set to move to the Sandringham estate, with sources sharing that his permanent property may end up being the five-bedroom Marsh Farm. Speaking to the Daily Express, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams has shared why he believes both Andrew and Sarah should consider a move completely out of the UK.
He believes that a move aboard would likely benefit their daughters amid reports that Princess Eugenie, 35, is no longer speaking to Andrew.
Mr Fitzwilliams said: “The York brand has been toxic for years, but the family have, until now, had the reputation of being close-knit. The report that Princess Eugenie is now estranged from her father is a seismic change…”
Noting previously unconfirmed reports that Andrew was looking at moving abroad, he added: “Andrew is soon leaving Royal Lodge for March Cottage on the Sandringham Estate. He may go abroad. So may Sarah Ferguson.
“It would probably be best for Beatrice and Eugenie if both of their parents did, so they could exist in a more positive environment and be seen to be totally separate from them.”
Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, 37, have been dealing with the repercussions of being stuck in the middle of her father’s scandal over his connection to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein – but now Eugenie has reportedly decided to cut all ties.
According to a source, Eugenie has refused to speak to Andrew and also did not visit him at Christmas with her husband Jack Brooksbank and their two sons.
A source told the Mail on Sunday reported: “There is no contact at all, nothing. It’s Brooklyn Beckham level – she has completely cut him off.”
Speaking of Beatrice, however, the source added that she is speaking to their father – but added they aren’t in regular contact. They added: “Beatrice is trying to walk the fine line of not cutting her father off and yet remaining close with the Royal Family.
“They aren’t exactly in regular and close contact at the moment, but Eugenie isn’t trying to walk that line. She’s not speaking to him”
