It is not known whether this is a temporary measure until Andrew, 65, moves into his new home Marsh Farm, on the Sandringham estate, or whether the items will stay at the lock-up as a result of the former prince’s new home being significantly smaller than Royal Lodge.
The Sun has reported that the lock-up unit is protected 24 hours a day by guards and has CCTV coverage.
It is operated by a company that has a royal warrant, and is trusted to store precious items such as valuable artwork.
While removal vans have been going to and from Royal Lodge for around a week now, Andrew is not believed to have waved goodbye to Royal Lodge yet.
It has been reported that Andrew could be moved into a temporary home on King Charles’ Sandringham estate within weeks while he waits for Marsh Farm to be ready for him to move-in.
It has been reported that fences have also been installed around the five-bed home. Andrew has not commented on the upcoming house move and continues to keep a low profile in Windsor, where he has been spotted horse-riding around the estate.
