Former Harvard President and leading Democratic Party intellectual Larry Summers has announced that he is “stepping back” from public activities as a result of his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, as revealed in Epstein’s recently-released emails. Among other things, Summers visited Epstein’s notorious island.
Now another Democrat is in trouble: Kathy Ruemmler, the General Counsel of Goldman Sachs:
Emails reveal Ruemmler, a former Obama White House attorney who also referred to herself as Epstein’s lawyer in one email, had a friendly relationship with the disgraced financier.
She wrote to Epstein on September 19 2014: “I’ll be here all week… you may get sick of me…”
After Ruemmler messaged Epstein “Most girls do not have to worry about this crap,” he replied: “Girls?,, careful I will renew an old habit.”
Their banter continued for years.
In July 2016, Epstein wrote, “pretty black dress. you and ruth ginsburg.” Ruemmler replied, “I like that dress … narciso Rodriguez. Where did you see that picture? RBG was my date to state dinner.”
So, like Donald Trump, Ruth Bader Ginsburg is mentioned in Epstein’s emails. The difference is that Epstein hated Trump.
In a 2016 email, Epstein wrote “do you think Bill Clinton would like to join you me chud and steve? could be very funny, all off the record.” She replied, “While he might like to, his lawyer would advise him against it. :-).”
Ha ha ha. This was after Epstein was convicted of soliciting underage girls for prostitution. No doubt Clinton’s lawyer was, indeed, advising him to stay away.
Epstein was a Democrat, and his friends and associates were pretty much all Democrats. If the recently-revealed emails show any substantial relationships with Republicans, they don’t seem to have hit the news. Watch for more Epstein Files–whatever that means–to be released in the near future. I think obsessing over the dead Epstein is silly, but the Democrats insisted on it and they are getting their wish. This could be fun.
