Portsdown archdeaconry
THE Revd Robert White, part-time Acting Archdeacon of Portsdown, in Portsmouth diocese, since 2024, is now part-time Archdeacon. He remains part-time Vicar of St Mary’s, Portsea, and an Hon. Canon of Portsmouth Cathedral. Canon White trained for ministry at St Stephen’s House, Oxford, and was ordained priest in 1986 and has served all his ministry in Portsmouth diocese. He was appointed a Chaplain to the Queen in 2019, and remains a Chaplain to the King.
