“Just to clarify: Bev and I are going to America to launch a new show, which will be broadcast from midnight to 2am UK time.
“So, if you’ve got coffee, you can stay up with us and enjoy the fun. We’ll be covering everything happening in America. From the Trump administration to the battle for free speech here in the UK, and bringing it to you here.
“Some people have asked me online this week, ‘Why are you leaving the UK at such a pivotal time?’
“I agree it’s a crucial moment for this country’s future.
“But I also argue that much of the UK’s direction in the coming years will be influenced by what happens in the United States.”
