Biden’s DOJ, FBI partnered with pro-abortion group to go after pro-lifers: report

(LifeSiteNews) — The Biden administration partnered with a pro-abortion association to target and imprison peaceful pro-lifers, including the elderly, newly released emails show.

In what was described as an “amazing relationship” by an insider, President Joe Biden’s Justice Department and the FBI linked arms with the National Abortion Federation (NAF), the professional association for abortionists, to investigate peaceful pro-life protests, according to emails shared with The Daily Wire by the Functional Government Initiative.

The correspondence paints a “disturbing picture of DOJ’s eagerness to meet with pro-abortion lobbyists and activists to punish pro-life Americans” following the Dobbs v. Jackson decision, the watchdog group told The Daily Wire.

An ongoing relationship between the abortion group and the DOJ was alluded to in an email from NAF Security Manager Robert Ledogar in January 2023 to Kristen Clarke, then with the DOJ.

“Over the past two (2) years that I have been with NAF Security, I have witnessed an amazing relationship with the (National Abortion Federation) Security Director Michelle Davidson and members of the DOJ Civil Rights Division AUSA Sanjay Patel, AUSA Katelyn Smith, AUSA Laura Cowall, and Supervisor AUSA Paige Fitzgerald,” Ledogar wrote.

Stunningly, Ledogar shared he or staffers from his group (his sentence was incomplete) was attending “conferences and rally’s (sic) such as the March for Life” in order to “identify and witness the extremists that find the need to prevent reproductive health care,” that is, the killing of babies through abortion.

“The past year, NAF Security has been part of several FACE Act investigations, working with (assistant U.S. attorneys) and the FBI in TN, FL, VA, CA, NY, MD, and NC. The guidance from the team in DC has been nothing short of superb,” he added.

It is unknown which specific FACE investigations NAF was involved in. However, two major FACE prosecutions took place in states Ledogar referred to.

Last year, six pro-lifers were convicted of FACE Act and “conspiracy against rights” violations for their involvement in a 2021 rescue effort at an abortion facility near Nashville, Tennessee. A clip from the scene of the “crime” shows the pro-lifers praying and singing hymns outside the abortion mill. Eva Edl, a communist concentration camp survivor, sat outside the door in a wheelchair.

In New York, Catholic priest Fr. Fidelis Moscinski and pro-life mother Bevelyn Williams were imprisoned over FACE Act violations.

“It sounds like NAF and other abortion activists were trying to remove Lady Justice’s blindfold, and Kristen Clarke and Sanjay Patel were allowing it. Action must be taken,” Functional Government Initiative spokesman Roderick Law told The Daily Wire.

A DOJ meeting with Ledogar was explicitly greenlighted in the emails. In response to Ledogar’s email, Clarke asked if the DOJ Criminal Section had “any concerns” with her meeting with NAF employee. Then-Deputy Chief of the DOJ Civil Rights Division’s criminal section Robert Moossy replied, “CrimeSec has no concerns.”

“These emails reveal undue influence of abortion activists on federal law enforcement investigations, and violations of DOJ norms,” Law said. “The Biden DOJ Civil Rights Division actions undertaken with outside influence appear to violate the civil rights of the Americans convicted under the FACE Act. “
