Bradley Dack taunted by crowd during EFL clash after breakup with ITV presenter Olivia Attwood

Gillingham captain Bradley Dack found himself the target of opposition supporters during his side’s League Two fixture at Crawley Town.

Chants mocking his personal circumstances were sung after the 32-year-old midfielder split with his former partner, Olivia Attwood.

Dack and the ITV presenter ended their relationship in January following accusations that the footballer had been unfaithful.

Reports have since emerged that Dack has rekindled his romance with his previous girlfriend, Emily Rose Moloney, whilst additional women have alleged infidelity during his time with Attwood.

The opportunity for mockery arose just past the hour mark when play was halted, with Dack positioned near the home supporters’ terrace whilst appealing to referee Edward Duckworth over a potential dismissal for teammate Joshua Andrews following a high challenge.

Crawley’s Red Devils faithful seized the moment, directing the chant “Bradley Dack, she cheated on you” towards the visiting skipper.

The chant referenced a photo published by the Sun, which appeared to show his former partner in an embrace with Towie personality and Sunday Roast: The Podcast presenter Pete Wicks at a Soho venue.

The midfielder remained composed throughout, offering no visible response to the provocation.

Dack had already received a caution for a reckless challenge in the opening period.

Further calls from home supporters for Dack’s dismissal came early in the second half after he brought down Tobi Adeyemo, his third foul on the Crawley forward.

Despite the appeals, the official took no action.

The jeering continued with wolf whistles greeting two wayward corner kicks from the Gillingham captain.

Dack’s torrid week deteriorated further as the match reached its conclusion, with Crawley securing victory through a goal in the 91st minute.

The Gillingham skipper dropped to his haunches in despair as his side conceded, and matters worsened moments later when the hosts added a second just two minutes afterwards.

The defeat extended Gillingham’s losing streak to five matches in succession, compounding what has been a turbulent period for their captain both on and off the pitch.

Despite the public scrutiny surrounding his personal life, Gillingham boss Gareth Ainsworth offered reassurance about his player’s state of mind when questioned about how Dack had conducted himself at the training ground during the week.

Ainsworth said: “Bradley’s absolutely fine.

“My captain. Great lad. Fantastic person. And, yes, I’ll have him all day.

“Bradley’s a great player. He’s a fantastic player on the ball. I thought he had a good game again.

“He’s devastated in there because Bradley is a winner. He wants to be on the winning side. They all do.”
