British tourist ‘sexually assaulted’ hundreds of feet in the air while parasailing during Tunisia holiday

A British holidaymaker has claimed she was sexually assaulted in the air by her parasail instructor in Tunisia.

Michelle Wilson claims the man pressed himself against her and groped her during the trip in the air.

Wilson said she had planned a tandem parasail flight with a friend but was told it was too windy so they had to be separated and she was placed with an instructor.

Her friend went up first and “had a great time, with no problems”.

Wilson said she saw distance between her friend’s body and the operators.

However, during her trip in Sousse, the mother claimed her’s was different.

Michelle Wilson claims the man pressed himself against her during the trip

The Merseyside woman said “I could feel the back of my bikini bottoms being pulled and he was pulling the strap”.

“He must have been tightening the harness to get me closer,” Wilson said.

“His legs straddled around me, he had one hand up on the parachute, the other wasn’t. Then I felt him touch my leg.”

Wilson said “he was groping me and moving back and forth into me and talking to me in Arabic”.

“I felt him pressing against me,” the woman added.

“I kept arching my back. I felt violated and dirty and was scared. He was only a young lad, maybe around 20.”

Wilson described it as a “horrible experience” and that she “felt helpless hanging in the air”.

As soon as she landed, the mother said she burst into tears and complained to the water sports centre’s manager, then to local police.

Wilson had paid a £6,000 easyJet package for the holiday to Sousse with her 17-year-old daughter and two 16-year-old twin boys.

Her daughter’s 17-year-old friend was also there.

She believes the attacker has since been arrested, and her insurance firm and the Foreign Office are assisting.

EasyJet told The Sun that the “safety and wellbeing of our customers” was priority and the company was continuing to support the mother.

“We are also liaising closely with our hotel partner to look into the reports,” the airline said.
