The East of England Ambulance Service confirmed that one person has been taken to the hospital after a medical emergency.
They also confirmed an air ambulance landed at the scene.
In a statement, a spokesperson said: “An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic car and Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were sent to Church Walk, St Botolphs Street this morning following reports of a person with a medical emergency.
“One patient was transported by road ambulance in a serious condition to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital.”
