Rep. Jasmine Crockett hosted a town hall in Dallas on Thursday, and things did not go smoothly. The typically loud-mouthed Democrat, who has often encouraged her supporters to publicly lash out against Republicans, including insinuating violence, got a bit of her own medicine when Sara Gonzales of The Blaze crashed the event.

Posing as an opponent of the recent redistricting push, which saw Democrat legislators flee the state only to give up and return two weeks later, Gonzales began shouting at Crockett as she gave her speech. “The people of Dallas deserve better than a fake ghetto hoodrat,” the commentator can be heard shouting before absolute chaos breaks out.

GONZALES: Do they know you’re a rich kid from Missouri? Do they know you’re a spoiled rich kid from Missouri?
What Gonzales is referring to in an admittedly less than tactful way is Crockett’s transformation over the last few years. When she first entered politics, she was well-spoken and representative of her wealthy upbringing and educated background. As RedState has reported, she went to the most expensive private school in St. Louis before going to Rhodes College, another private institution, in Memphis.
Yet, in order to gain attention, Crockett has turned to code-switching into “street” lingo while addressing crowds. Here was one of her recent rants, delivered back in March, in which she butchered the English language while calling Gov. Greg Abbott, who is disabled and wheelchair bound, “governor hot wheels.”
CROCKETT: “So we out in deez hot *** Texas streets, honey. Y’all know we got governor hot wheels down there. Come on now, and the only thing hot about him is that he is a hot *** mess, honey.”

Once Gonzales started heckling, she was bumrushed by attendees and security, the latter of which forcibly dragged her out of the venue. All the while, you can hear people screaming, “Get her *** out of here!”
Now, look, would I have done what Gonzales did? I wouldn’t have. One, I don’t think this accomplishes anything but getting online attention for the person doing the heckling, and two, my Christian faith would prompt me not to respond in such a way, even if I held deep disagreement. Some might call me a prude for that, but that’s okay. My convictions are my convictions.
Regardless, Crockett isn’t someone who demands sympathy in this situation. She’s one of the most vitriolic members of the Democratic Party, and she has created the environment around her with her own disgusting, radical rhetoric. Which is a good point to end on. When a politician behaves like Crockett, they are creating and then feeding into a cycle that only deteriorates society further. It’d be nice if we could get some adults in Congress, but I guess that’s too much to ask these days.
