President Donald Trump is coming to the rescue yet again and cleaning up the streets of one of the most crime–ridden cities in America: Washington, D.C.
Yes, our nation’s capital — a place that should welcome patriotic Americans and showcase our nation’s beautiful heritage — has been taken over by violent criminals. Delinquent teenagers and street gangs now terrorize the streets where our nation’s forefathers once trod, and the city’s Democratic leaders have done little to put the bad guys behind bars and protect the innocent.
Washington, D.C., needs a hero to punish criminals and make our nation’s capital safe again for the Americans who cherish it. Thankfully, a hero has stepped into the fight, and “Liberation Day in D.C.” has commenced.
“I’m announcing a historic action to rescue our nation’s capital from crime, bloodshed, bedlam, and squalor, and worse,” President Trump said at the White House. “This is Liberation Day in D.C., and we’re gonna take our capital back. We’re taking it back.”
Democrats are upset that a president is finally taking law and order seriously in the nation’s capital. Crime isn’t really that bad in D.C., they argue. Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser even suggested that Trump is getting his information mixed up since violent crime has decreased from record highs a few years ago.
Even if that’s true, violent crime remains at levels far too high for an American city — especially the U.S. capital. In 2024, Washington, D.C., reported a homicide rate of 27.3 per 100,000 residents, giving it the fourth-highest homicide rate in the country.
Trump is taking the violent crime issue head-on, which Democrats believe is “unsettling and unprecedented.” And while our Leftist Tears Tumblers runneth over, we’re here to say, ‘Yeah, it is “unprecedented” for violent criminals to feel unsafe in a Democrat-run city.’ But “unsettling”? Only for the criminals whom President Trump is about to throw behind bars.
